Can you take a cooler to Jost on the ferry?

Just wondering if we can take some refreshments to Jost on the ferry in a cooler? Just some water/beer. Are you allowed to drink your own beer on the beach in front of Soggy Dollar?
TIA

Re: Lurker or contributor?

I'm mostly a lurker. I alway feel others have much more experience and advice then I do, but I will start putting my 2 cents in when I can.

Re: St John vs Tortola for honeymoon

I personally would consider Virgin Gorda but not Tortola. I have not really explored or toured Trotola well, but I would prefer VG. Or even a private Villa on Jost.

Re: Voluntary bump leaving STT?

They just offered this during our departure yesterday. They needed 5 volunteers for our flight and offered $500 voucher for future air, hotel in stt and guaranteed flight out the next morning. By the time we got to the front of the line, they only needed 1 more. So my husband and I are home today:(

Restaurant suggestions in STT

We are spending our last night of vacation in STT due to flight times. I have been to St John 4 times, but never have spent much time on STT. Any recommendations for lunch and dinner? We are looking for something rather casual, no upscale places.
TIA

Daysail help needed

We are a party of 10 adults looking for a sailing excursion/bar hop that would take us from St John to Foxy's, Willie T's and back to White Bay. We would prefer a Catamaran, but I'm thinking that this distance is too far for a sailing trip. We have done this on a motor sail. Anyone have any suggesti...

Need Villa Help

We are looking for a 3 or 4 bedroom villa for Oct 2012. We must have a large pool with lots of outdoor living space. A/C is also a must. We are looking to keep it under $2000 per couple. Open to all areas, but like privacy. Any sugestions would be great. One of the couples likes the "finer thin...

Our capt. was Tony. He was great. Very knowledgable of the areas, and very personable. I would request him again in a minute. We rented from Ocean runner. It was a private charter for the four of us. A 29 ft(I think) boat was around $530 plus $150 for fuel and $100 tip. It was worth every penny!!!!!

My advice for a dinghy rental from Cruz Bay is....get one with a center consol steering wheel. So much better than the rear hand held motor control we had before. It also had a 50hp motor, so was pretty fast for a dinghy. I think we rented from Calypso. $195.00 for a full day. We went to waterlemon ...

Just to the right side of bongo bongo is a new villa under construction. There was no work going on there at all for the week that we were there. We could also see the clearing of land for the new Pond Bay develpment. We only heard some large trucks moving dirt around once or twice. If all else fail...

Home from Bongo Bongo

Just returned home on Wed from our week in paradise at Bongo Bongo. Of course the villa was awasome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We met Jeff and Russ in passing at the airport. That was cool. I will write a detailed report with pics as soon as life slows down a little. Highlights included, renting a boat with Capt...

We have used St John car rental in the past. The location is convient, lot is small and steep. We had a great experience with them. This next trip we are using Conrad Sutton. St john car was closed NY day. We will see how that goes.

What to wear?

Flying out of Pittsburgh, weather is very cold. low 30's. What does everyone wear so I'm not roasting when we arrive to STT.
