Need Villa Help

Post by daycruise »

We are looking for a 3 or 4 bedroom villa for Oct 2012. We must have a large pool with lots of outdoor living space. A/C is also a must. We are looking to keep it under $2000 per couple. Open to all areas, but like privacy.
Any sugestions would be great.
One of the couples likes the "finer things in life", so must be a newer or updated villa.
thx

Can't help you with a villa since I not a "finer things" person but if there is a couple like this in your group make sure you go with a villa some one has recently stayed in. Pictures of villas lie and are mostly of the villa when it was new or in it's best shape. Good Luck

Island Stones is on my wish list for the next trip. It is a smidge above your budget but might be worth checking out -

Check out villas through Destination St. John. Some of the ones in Virgin Grand Estates would be upscale and in your price range. We stayed in Blue Papaya in November and loved it. Cocotier was right next door. They offer several other villas in that same area that are also very nice. The landscaping is gorgeous and great sunset views from up there.

Virgin Grand Estates or Peter Bay is what you're looking for. You'll definitely come back every year. Have fun!

We stayed at Kalorama last year- it's in Virgin Grand. Really modern (which we loved) and very different than what you normally see on STJ. AC in the bedrooms (4 nice ones, plus one twins br for kids that we did not use)- great room opens totally up. Fantastic views and great pool. My only complaint was that the landscaping was pretty mature (much bigger than in the pictures in the link)- nice for privacy, but you could not see the view while in the pool- only while standing on the veranda. But just a minor thing. It was a pretty amazing house and the views were to die for. We were with my parents who are also "finer things" people, and they were impressed! It may be a little above your budget- but not sure in Oct (we went in Feb).

Good luck- there are a lot of fantastic places to choose from- I agree Virgin Grand or Peter Bay are good areas to look, but also LOVE Island Stones- it's on my list, too!

If you have any more questions, send me a PM. I have a lot of pictures of it from Feb 2010.
