Need help with Brother's wedding plans
Need help with Brother's wedding plans
Hello to everyone! I am hoping you can help me out. My brother wants to get married in the USVI, either STT or ST John. He wants to get married on boat/ship (not a cruise ship) and wants to get married by a Captain (my brother is a vet of Navy). I have never been down to the USVI so I havent' a clue on where to go, best places, most beautiful, not the typical tourist thing and so on. Any information and tidbits would be extremely helpful on who to go to that is good or where to go.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I know that Capt Stu is licensed to marry people and is a really nice guy. He is on STT, but can pick folks up in STJ. Might not be able to acquire a boat large enough if you have a very large party...not sure about that. I'm sure someone else can give you more info on him. I lost his contact info and would love to have it again.
I also think that Rick and Robin do cermonies on their sailboat out of Coral Bay called Long Distance. I think they have a 6 person limit on the boat. They are super nice folks, make great drinks, and have an adorable dog on board.

Captain Phil also does weddings aboard his boat the Wayward Sailor. The boat is small, however, only big enough for 6 guests.
Includes: Pre-wedding meeting and customized Wedding Ceremony
Locations: St. John Beaches, Villas, Resorts or on board Wayward Sailor
Price: $300

I 2nd Rev Stuart Scott to perform the ceremony and I think he can also Capt a boat as well. Thing is I don't know if he has his own boat or not.
He performed our ceremony on Magens Bay a few years ago and was very nice, down to earth and an all around good guy. We were very much at ease with him and kinda felt like an old friend in a way.
Let me go look for his contact info and I'll post back with it if I have luck. You probably can do a search on the net and come up with some options as well.
Can't think of a nicer place to get married really!
Good Luck.
Kathy
Okay, seeing as I went through a wedding planner-Cheryl Toner, I do not have his personal contact info
but I do know he's posted here before and some of the others may have his direct email. Sorry.
Looks like you're getting some good info anyway.
