Another Villa Opinion Question

Post by benchill »

I found good villa reviews on some but just seeing if anyone has recent stays at any of the following:

Balance
Sea Stone
Indigo
Villa Maria

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

My husband and I stayed at Sea Stone this past June. Here is my trip report regarding the villa.

Overall, we were very happy with Sea Stone. The villa itself is VERY nice and has in-your-face water views. The only thing we didn't particularly care for was the close proximity to its neighbors. We generally like a little more isolation. Also, I think I prefer a more conventionally shaped pool to the one at Sea Stone. It felt a bit too narrow to me but my husband seemed to have enjoyed it for a change.

If you have specific questions, just let me know. Happy villa hunting!

In my opinion the Villa Maria view is far superior to the others, viewing not only great sunsets and Pillsbury vistas, but also boat traffic/activity into Great Cruz Bay to the Westin. But there has been construction directly below the house at the Sussman property. Check with agent-Catered To.

Benchill---We must have similar taste in villas. I stayed at Indigo last March, and was just about to book Villa Maria for a trip this next March which, unfortunately, I'm having to cancel (I'm needing to go to San Diego for a meeting at that same time).

We absolutely loved Indigo, but I suppose it depends what you are looking for. Furnishings are gorgeous---huge covered porch where we basically lived. Pool was small and a little shady. Bedrooms and baths are beautiful----especially the nicest 3 (the 4th is smaller). Really cool rooftop sundeck. Everything is new and high-end. Search "Indigo" and you'll find my comments from last April/ May. If you click on one of my photos you'll find my webshots photos with lots of Indigo shots.

Villa Maria has a better view because its further out on the point. Furnishings will be much more casual and the whole house looks more dated, but it looks very comfortable. Villa Maria has a big, sunny pool. We stayed next door to Villa Maria at L'Autre Monde many years ago when they were renting that house.

Good luck with your search.
