What would you do?

Post by jdw »

We are traveling with one other couple in May. We are both celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and we have rented a villa from Sat-Sat. Originally we were going to stay in St. Thomas on Friday night because the guys were going to play golf in St. Thomas on Saturday morning. Now they are not playing golf (our friend is having surgery on his foot a few weeks before we leave). So now we are trying to decide if we want to stay in St. Thomas or St. John for that one night. We arrive around 2:00 on Friday afternoon so we would have plenty of time to get to St. John before dark. Our jeep will be available after noon on Saturday.

What would YOU do?

I'd probably get to St. John early and see if you can check into your villa a day early. It's always a little unsettling to move hotels, so the sooner you can get settled in, the better.

I would keep your reservations on STT.

It's great to be able to land on STT and relax for the night vs. land, taxi, ferry to STJ, taxi, etc...

And, with no car for the night, where will you eat dinner and how will you get there?

The last few times we went, we stayed on STT the first night and it makes that long travel day just a bit shorter.
