late night arrival question

All flights available for our trip don't arrive in STT until 9:30pm. Is there a way to get to St John that late? Can we even get into the villa at that time?

You might be able to make it. The passenger ferry from Red Hook runs until midnight I think. Check the ferry schedule on this site and double check with the villa agent as well.

How are you going to get to the villa from ferry terminal?

You will make the 11pm ferry with no problem - and even if you miss that one there is always the midnight

Just make sure your villa rental company will make arrangements with the car rental company and will still pick you up at that time - I'm 99.99% sure it will not be a problem but some companies do charge an additional fee for a after hours pick up.

Have your villa agent pick up your keys before the rental agency closes for the day. Your pick-up person can bring them to the dock for you and then you follow her/him to the villa. A 9:30PM arrival should not be a problem. I get nervous about anything later.

Another option might be to just stay one night on STT and head over to STJ first thing in the AM.

That way you're not paying for a whole night at the Villa which can be more expensive than a hotel (not always though).

I would imagine that the hotels are offering deep discounts due to the slowing economy. Just compare the prices.
