Winter in Sweden today!

Post by Maggy »

Just want to share a picture of our first snowstorm for the season. Here is my husband outside working:

While the cats and I are enjoying the warmth indoors:

The only reason we are home today is because of the snowstorm. My husband should have flown to another city in Sweden today, but came home after 3 hours (rebooked tonight) and I chose to work from home.

Unfortunately the snow is probably going to disappear later this week. It's too bad, I like snow.

Awww.. poor hubby working so hard in the snow. Your kitty reminded me of a saying and the pictures you posted prove it:

"Dogs have owners. Cats have staff."

We got about 15-20 inches in 24 hours, but now it has almost stopped. When I look at the picture I notice that you can hardly see that it's a car under the snow.

I was not as nice for those who needed to fly today as the wind (near hurricane strenght in the guts) made the runways slippery and they could only use one of three runways for all traffic. My husbands evening flight was also cancelled and now he will be 24 hours late (but I got some company :D )

I wish the snow would stay as it's so nice and light outside now. Much better than mild, dark, rainy and foggy.

So true! And after this the cats demanded us to light the fire place so that they could go to sleep in the heat in front of it. And of course we obeyed!

We had about 2 inches here. I know that soon we will get the blizzards like you Maggy. I am not ready for it this year.
Your cat is beautiful!
Your hubby looks real cold.

Hey SOTB II sister, wow, you sure got dumped on. I actually love the first snowfall, it's so bright and clean and pretty. Of course, after around January 3rd (and sometimes sooner), I'm over snowfall and am ready for summer (yes, that means we can skip spring). (Your Alice looks beautiful.) Glad you got to have hubby home to share the day with you. Don't work your whole day away. Have some fun. Luvya, Ali~

I told you Alice was a name for a beautiful girl

Agree with you, I also like the snow. But the prognosis say it's going to melt away in the end of the week.

And we had some fun, we had a nice lunch at our gym restaurant, when I picked up him coming back from the airport. It was the best lunch I had in a long time.

It wasn't that cold as it looks like. Just below freezing, say 28F or -2C. But he looked like the snow man when he came back in.

Sounds cold. Much better with a little snow. I guess I will see for myself, as I am coming down to "you" next week! Maybe I can go to Julemarknad on Tivoli.

Hi Maggy!
I have never been to "julemarked i Tivoli", but will go and see it some day. A girlfriend has just today told me that it was so very beautiful this year. If I were in København I would go :D !

Oh, things brings back memories. We would visit this place every other year during the winter holidays. I have many fond childhood memories of the Tivoli Gardens and the holiday decorations!

I have these lovely silhouette cutouts from when I was 5 years old.

I also thoroughly enjoyed Legoland!

Despite the discussion of how cold it is I always enjoyed our trips to Copenhagen and Denmark and look forward to returning some day!!
