Car Rental Age?

Post by STJME »

Anyone know of any car rental location in STJ that would rent to 23/24 year olds?

Planning on coming to St. John in January and would like to find a rental to travel all over the island and not have to depend on the taxi service the whole week.

Budget on STT does, but charges an extra fee. Isn't there a firm on STJ that does the same?

I looked into this a couple of years back for my then 23 year old son and his girlfriend. There was one STJ rental place that would, on certain conditions, consider renting to under 25 y.o.'s. The conditions were: it had to be arranged through the villa agency, there was a $10. daily extra insurance premium, and they reserved the right to refuse the whole deal if they didn't like the way you looked at the time you picked up the car. We just passed on it. They mostly rode with us, sometimes used the bus, and sometimes hitch hiked.
When you find yourself in a hole.... quit digging.

You may want to reach out to STJ car rental... if you're responsible and approach it in a responsible way then they may give you a break. No promises though.
