I had a chance to listen to Obama 4 years ago at the democratic convention, I knew then that he was special, I am so happy for him.

I am guessing that I am a little older than most on this board, but I have to say that listening to Obama's speech last night stirred memories of JFK and how uplifted the county was by his vitality. I hope that we can move on united as a nation as well as show the world what we are made of.

I haven't been here for a while - BUT, I had to check in and see what my fellow STJ lovers thought about Barack and the election.

I'd been working very hard on his campaign for the last several months - and now I'm COMFORTABLY NUMB :-)

What a man!!!!!

YES WE DID!!!!!
Peace,

Lisa

Thank you Sabrina! Where are you from?

We had several friends from around the country over last Wed. night, representing a mix of conservative, liberal, and independent views. We all agreed that this was an important step in our country's history. Most emphatically, we celebrated the fact that regardless of someone's political beliefs, we can all be grateful for a peaceful transition of power.

Until now it seems for me, as if Obama has done the right things and have chosen the best people to his government. I don’t know all of them, but it was clever of him to choose Hillary. She has a good reputation in other countries, which I still feel means something.

Hoping for a better future :) !

You know what, Linne, you are so right...we will be in much better shape to come...a better future is a good thing. People just have to give this new leadership, support, understanding and it will resolve itself.

HOPE!
