Today at the Uconn vs W. Va Football game....
There was a fight. Not because of some rivalry between the 2 schools but between people that were supporting opposing presidential candidates.
What should have been a quiet break at half time turned into a small yelling and shoving match near the exit.
Grown men and women (not students) acting like children that can't agree on what game to play in the playground.
No one was hurt (physically) and it broke up with out major issue, but I could not help but be disgusted by what I saw.
I understand passion for your political beliefs but is arguing about them going to change anything?
I fell into the argument trap here and for that I apologize. Seeing those people today made me think of the threads here. Feelings have been hurt, offense has been taken, and insults have been flying.
On Wednesday, the debating will stop and some people will be happy and some may not.
When we wake up that day, we will all be the same thing that we are right now. Human beings that are damn lucky to live in this country.
I would respectfully ask that this post not be one for debate or discussion. There are plenty of those already.
Have a good night folks.

Amen to that. I will support a president Obama (though I will be inclined to Trust but Verify, as a great man once suggested).SJfromNJ wrote: We will wake up on Wednesday living in the best country in the free world and in January undergo a peaceful transfer of power.
That's a rough day at the game, given the fight and the UConn loss.
