Lime Inn

Post by Lulu76 »

I promised one of the girls in our group I would ask you guys this question:

How much does it cost for all-you-can-eat shrimp night at the Lime Inn?

Also, I know you have all said to get there early. How early is early? It is still technically low season...

Seems like it was right around $20 to $22 when we went last March, which I thought was very reasonable. We made reservations and had no problem getting seated.

Reservations! Excellent idea!

I thought someone told me $20, and that's what I told her, but she said: "Ask your Internet people!"

We went the same week you're going in 2006. We got there ~6pm and had to wait an hour or so and it was just 2 of us.

Definitely make reservations if you can.

We like to have early dinners to avoid having to wait. So we get there right when it opens and are seated immediately.

That's what I was thinking too. I like to stop when I'm driving through town after the beach and before I get back to the house and then be in for the night when I get home.

FYI, the mussels are fantastic. Pete and I have been known to order those and a salad; for us, that makes a complete dinner. Yum.

That's good to know. I haven't decided on the shrimp yet, but I figure we might as well go on shrimp night!

I'm getting hungry from all this Lime Inn talk, but two weeks from today, I will be tucked into bed with a belly full of yummy food. I am really leaning toward the mussels, but the last two times I've eaten mussels I've gotten violently ill. Although I'm not sure if bad mussels can cause a debilitating case of vertigo. It might've been coincidental. (Maybe I should do a test run before I hit the rock...)

The mussels are unbeliveably good. Gromit and I order them just to be able to sop up all that yummy buttery goodness at the bottom with bread!

It might be the mussels. I have tried to talk myself out of the fact that I very likely have an allergy to lobster. I can handle little bits say in a soup but if I eat a full on lobster I get really, really sick. I used to think it might have been the alcohol, but then I noticed if I drink the same amount but have a steak - no pukie. If I drink little and have lobster - pukie.
