Intro - Hi Guys!
Hi Guys - I've been lurking awhile to gather info for our Spring 09 visit so I thought I might as well introduce myself.
I'm Dave. My wife (Tina) and I will be down in April for 5 days on the Coral Bay side (at St John Livin) to celebrate our 20th Anniv. We're starting off with 5 days on JVD before finishing on STJ.
We've been to the BVIs a few times and always wanted to spend some time on STJ, admiring it from the ferry. We are really looking forward to this visit.
I'm sure that I'll have questions and you guys are so helpful! What a great sense of community here.
Looking forward to getting to know ya some.

Welcome! i am sure you are going to LOVE St. John -- so much so that you'll no longer ever look at it from a distance!
I think I left a piece of my heart there. We went there in 2002 and 2002 -- both fantastic visits! -- and I long to return.
Our 2002 visit was to celebrate my graduation from college -- I returned to college at age 50 to complete work on my bachelor's degree -- after 30 YEARS of being out of school. I figured that deserved a St. John holiday!!! (My hubby agreed and gave US this trip to celebrate.) OK, now I'm going to have to do something else spectacular in order to be able to return!!
Happy Anniversary -- we will celebrate our 30th on June 9th -- would LOVE to be able to celebrate that on St. John!!! If we can't, please have a glass of champagne and toast "to Cheryl & Trip -- 30 great years!" (Better yet, have a WHOLE BOTTLE!)
Enjoy -- and don't forget the trip report!

We stayed at St. John Livin' in May '07 and loved it. I would be happy to answer any questions that you have.
We have been to Jost on day trips a couple of times, but haven't stayed there. There are a couple of places that I am interested in though. Where are you staying?

Thanks for the warm welcome! You guys are great!
We'll be staying at Sandcastle on JVD. Visited once, first time staying there. The goal was a quintessential toes-in-de-sand experience and I think we've nailed it. The JVD segment of the trip is for unplugged limin...period.
STJ, on the other hand, will be a more active time with a jeep and exploration and a list of beaches, bars, food and general to-do stuff. This is really where you guys come in.
I like to know my options and have those lists to select from if & when we get in the mood for something.
I'm a believer in only needing to lock-in a Dail Sail and a "special dinner". Everything else is Ala Cart & On The Fly.
We'll be staying at Sandcastle on JVD. Visited once, first time staying there. The goal was a quintessential toes-in-de-sand experience and I think we've nailed it. The JVD segment of the trip is for unplugged limin...period.

That sounds like my philosophy. And, while I don't have a huge special occasion like you do, even this year the special dinner is kind of "on the fly." It's not a booze cruise, but his boat only holds 6 guests, and he still goes out, even if he doesn't have a full load. It's a wonderful day with very personalized attention!
Capt. Phil's boat is out of the water right now, but you can still contact him by e-mail to ask any questions or make plans.
