Just going through the procedures!

Post by Coden »

Flights - verified - again!! We still have them!! :D

I've gone through ALL paperwork and made two file folders. One with flights, hotels, villa rental agency info, maps, and on island ph #'s. The other has travel ins. paperwork, copies of eye prescriptions,cc contacts, emergency contacts, etc.

I've rearranged the food/toiletry suitcase. And lightened the load a little bit more. 8)

I have little packets made up of cash for the taxi's, ferries, nps, etc. that I know we need cash for. Now I can just pull out a packet and pay w/o having to root around for money. I did this yesterday actually.

Right now, I'm just trying to cool my jets. I guess I am going to have to get cleaned up for the day and leave the house before I drive myself crazy!!!

ONE more thing to do....I've learned from experience....take out some more colthes from your suitcase!!! I just got back lastweekend, & I only used 1/2 my clothes....even after listening to everyone else about that!

Get in the mood by making yourself a rum punch or painkiller while you are anticipating this trip!

Oh...GREAT planning soo far!!

Thnx Sitter!! Clothes - if I remember correctly what I packed, since it was last weekend, here goes: 2 pair cargo shorts, 2 swimsuits, 2 lightweight patagonia shorts, 3 t-shirts. 1 pair capri's and wispy 3/4 length sleeved shirt - for Sweet Plantains. 1 summer dress for another night. 1 pr of black strapy sandals for both. I can wash & wear both of these outfits again if needed. Of course, nightgown, robe and other stuff like that. I also have packed my Teva sandals, a pr of flip-flops, & I am wearing my tennis shoes. And I am wearing my sweater down, since I'll need it on the airplane anyway.

I think that is it. Did I do good or do you think that is still too much? I have it all in one small 21" suitcase. That can expand to 24" if needed. :)

Coden - I LOVE your idea about the little cash packets! I've been mildly stressing over how much cash do we need for this or that. In my own retentive manner, I think the little packets are a great answer to keeping it all organized and KNOWING what we need is there!

Thnx CaGirl!! If I do packets, then I don't get stressed. I get flustered when there are a lot of people milling around and I'm trying to pull money out to pay for something. This way, I have my little packet ready.

Here are my packets:
# 1 = Taxi
# 2 = Ferry
# 3 = Travel day money - there
# 4 = NPS (Nat'l Park Svc) for our guided tour
# 5 = Ferry
# 6 = Taxi
# 7 = Travel day money - home

None of our other money is in packets. It is just to be spent while we are on STJ.
