Late night eats

Post by RickG »

Any hints for late night eats on island? I always seem to end up at Woody's if I want something to eat after 10.

Cheers, RickG

An app next door to Woody's at La Tapa is always good. Course I'm in bed by 10 so....

Jake's for late night food

Post by StJohnRuth »

Jakes!
The menu is here: http://www.stjohnspice.com/jakes.htm
They serve food until 4AM. (Yes, you read that right.)
Even though the posted menus say otherwise, they are serving some combination of both menus (lots of choices) all night.

Jake's is promising, thanks Ruth. I liked the late night scene at The Front Yard, sort of like Fight Club. I wonder if that scene has moved to Larry's Landing?

sea-nile, you and the ladies are more than welcome to come play late night. No need to bring pajamas.

So, I have to wonder who is eating at Jake's after 2AM? The old Front Yard late night crowd seemed to be mostly hard core folks who were somewhat sketchy. Is this a typical restaurant/bar after work scene at the last place open?

Jake's, you go for fun, you have too much fun, stay too late, then have the greasy breakfast that seems to go good with hangovers. They've got it figured out! You can also go to Larry's...yes, they have food, and from what I hear, it's pretty darn good. Tons of locals go there for lunch and I've heard nothing but good things thus far.

We ate at Jakes yesterday, for lunch not at 3am, and the food was good. I'd say the menu is real stick-to-your-ribs type that'll power you through what ever kind of chemicals you put in!
