14 years...Still in love!

Post by parafins »

Yes,14 years ago I said "I do" to the one I love. Some of you may know that we spent our honeymoon on S.T.J. and S.T.T.Before I went to work this morning I fired up the VCR,and tossed in our honeymoon tape.Boy did that make my breakfast extra special! As I look back ,I can still remember the old Red Hook dock, and the Boat that would take would take us to the Hyatt {now the Westin}.Boy was that place nice! The next day we visited Cinnamon Bay and rented snorkel gear. Can you believe that we didn't bring snorkel gear! That right! After our underwater visit we went straight to Cruz Bay and purchased our own gear.We were hooked!! Well I have to make this short{lunch break is only 30 minutes!}But I must say, over the years my love has grown stronger with the one I love and with the island that we visited. :D Parafins

Happy Anniversary to both of you!

My anniversary is next month - 25 years. We've been through so much together, raised a child that's now 22, bought and sold a couple of houses, bought and sold numerous cars(we counted we've had 21 different vehicles), been through the passing of my parents, his cancer and the list goes on. All of this before we're even 50 years old.
Great day! Until I typed this I didn't how much we had been through together.
I hope we have many many happy health years ahead of us!

Today is our anniversary too! I remember looking at the Bridal magazines when I was getting married and I really wanted to go to STJ for our honeymoon, even in 1989 it was so expensive. A friend let us use their home in Florida for our honeymoon-- money was super tight so we honeymooned there. StJ always was on my mind-10 years later we went for our anniversary and fell in love with the island. It really is such a special place! Hope you have a great day!

We also celebrated our 30 yr anniv. on stj this year. We picked stj as the island we wanted to go to on our honeymoon but the price was prohibitive at that time. We also had our 29 yr anniv on stj last year. I think it needs to be a yearly trip.

Today is my, and Mrs Random's, birthday. We've celebrated 23 birthdays together. Many, many moons ago we decided to "gift" each other a trip to the Caribbean. This will be our 9th or 10th trip to STJ...I loose count because she's my best friend and I love spending time with her.

This year once again I will be the Bartender, Cook, Coffee Boy, Pool Boy, Cabanna Boy...Boy Toy

Happy anniversary Parafins! :D

That gives me hope :D Oct. 20 will be one year for me and my best friend ever! I can't believe it's already been one year that we have been married. We are going to St. John on Nov.30 for our 4th trip. It took everything to get him to go with me when we were dating and now I can't get him to go anywhere else, he made sure we would always have a trip to St. John when he bought a timeshare at the Westin. Congradulations on 14 years together!

Happy Anniversary parafins, and everybody else celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. We too will be celebrating our 35th anniversary with a trip over Christmas. You know, I think it's amazing how many couples are celebrating some pretty long-term milestones on this special island. Maybe there's some underlying cause and effect????

What a great topic! Congrats to all of you!

Waterguy/Tom, God bless you. I'm sure your lovely wife is smiling down on you today and especially when you are on Hawksnest. My guy and I are closing in on 20 years and your post reminded me to not take him/us for granted. Thanks.
