Does anyone know whether STJ is covered by the 3G network?

Pete - it will work down there, but I am pretty sure you can still only access the (painfully slow) Edge network, not the 3G network.

Thanks for the information. I had a hunch that 3G wasn't available and that the connection would be on island time.

Just do what I do and turn it into a drinking game. Hit the link, have a drink. By the time the drink is gone, the page is up. Hit another link, have another drink. And so on. You'll be pretty well lit by the time you finish what you're trying to do, but, well, so what.

Seriously, it's slow but it's not that bad. You might find this helpful. This lists the places where the 3G network is available so far:
