Cool! They must have a symbiotic relationship. I am glad there are no jellies that big in St. John! (At least not that I have seen, and I hope to keep it that way).
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Interesting video. I hope to see that only from a very safe distance. I'd probably have a heart attack if I saw that while snorkeling.

There have been some HUGE A$$ jellies in the Gulf of Mexico and the bays around here. My thought when I saw the first one was that I am GLAD I don't see those on STJ.

I saw the huge ones with the four circles inside when we were fishing last month and had heard that they were in the waters off of the Florida panhandle. When we went to the panhandle for our "hurrication" during Gustav they got all broken up in the huge waves so we were able to swim without seeing them. Apparently, they came back about a week after we left.

I prefer to see them at the Aquarium :lol:
