I am so sad for him! Having an ex that died basically the same way it is tough for me to hear but some people just can't be saved from themselves. Don't get me wrong it took a lot of years of therapy for me to be able to admit that! LOL!

I will keep Lindy and his family in my prayers!

Oh no! I must have seen Lindy just after he got back from the hospital--it was Aug. 30th when I saw him in the mini-mart in Cruz Bay, and I noticed how terribly thin he looked that day.

I am truly sad for Lindy's failing health. He is a STJ icon and I can't imagine a trip to STJ without seeing him.

I always make sure that I give him a pack a cigs and a couple beers before I leave (I know that it doesn't help him). I don't look at Lindy with sadness or pity. I look at him as a guy who lives his life on his own terms. He doesn't hurt anyone (but himself of course)and just does his own thing. He has a family and home but chooses not to go there. One day we all have to die, and when Lindy passes it should be as he wants it to be. After all his years in CB, why would he want to go in a hospital bed?

My prayers go out to Lindy

XOXO

Lindy sounds mildly schizophrenic enhanced by substance abuse.

Sad. Hard to make someone want to get help- now it sounds like it's too late.

In April, while in Cruz Bay one night we saw Lindy sitting on the corner down from Woodys smoking a joint. He looked really happy then!

The story we heard a couple of years ago, is that Lindy got some "BAD" Belladonna(also known as deadly nightshade) and it pretty much fried his brain. If you do a search for Belladonna you will see that it is extremely dangerous, affects the central nervous system, produces hallucinations and severe confusion and has a high risk of fatal overdose. We were also told that before this happened, Lindy was a very smart guy and a really good pianist. Matter of fact, he supposedly, from time to time, would wonder into the church (the one on the corner by the bank and Woodys) and could still play.....Don't know if this is the true story but the bartender at Lime Inn seemed to know all about Lindy.
