good airfare?

We are planning a trip to St. John for july. so excited.... So far the best airfare i got from JFK is $479 rt per person. Is this good. Should I book it or wait? HELP

I can tell you it's excellent from California. I think probably also from New York. I'd book it, Dano!

We booked about three weeks ago at $380/rt per person, non-stop JFK-STT on American Airlines for Jan. '09 travel. I just checked and yep, the price is up to $479. Sorry 'bout that!!

But there's hope. Last year we booked in Sept. for a Dec. trip (JFK-STT). We paid more than $600/pp. I kept checking back to see if the fares dropped. In November, AA cut the price in half! I contacted AA and received vouchers for the difference, which we're now using for the '09 trip.

So... I would say book it but keep checking back to see if the price drops.

I looked into flights out of Chicago next June on United and the cheapest I found was about $1400.!!!
We took the same exact flight last June for $340. At those prices we might as well fly to Australia...will keep looking!!
