First off, thanks to all the forum members who provided me info before this trip (our first to STJ), the info helped us have a great time while there!
TRANSPORTATION:
Direct flight on US-Scare from CLT to STT...no problems, on time, smooth. We rented a two door Jeep Wrangler from Dependable on STT, called them from the airport (after a couple welcome shots of Cruzan Rum) and they were there ~ 10 minutes later to pick us up in a van. Paperwork was easy and the folks were nice there, we were on our way within 15 minutes with the Jeep loaded. Drove over to Red Hook and got on the 5PM barge and we're on our way over to STJ.
VILLA- We stayed in Cinnamon Tarn villa in Caterineberg, on top of the hill above Cinnamon Bay.

I posted a villa review today, it should be up soon but I'll summarize here too. The views were breathtaking, just fabulous and I love the seclusion of that area...very private and has a feel of "old school luxury" to me. The villa layout was great- two equal masters and a loft BR. No pool but a huge hot tub. Paved driveway with an electric access fence. The villa didn't have AC but had louvered windows with screens...I was never HOT with that great Catherineberg breeze always blowing. We loved the house and the view was one of the best there is.

More to come in part #2...

Love Cinnamon Tarn but hubby likes ice cold AC blowing on him! Guess I just have to go with someone that is not so hot blooded!

I've got 2 tickets to paradise~Pack your bags we'll leave tonight!

Bayer- As Vicky mentioned...the prominent beach in the background near Mary Point is Francis Bay beach...Little Maho beach is just out of sight to the right...but you can see some of the Maho campground area. Little Maho was our first snorkel...it was decent at the point between big and little Mahos.bayer40601 wrote:Just a question about the view out the first window pane to the left of the divider and wooden chair, is that Maho Beach and Campground?
