First time ever TR, part 5 Beaches & Food

Post by BAILEYBAY »

Beaches we visited this year: Honeymoon (3 times)
it is our favorite. Maho & Truck each twice, and
Gibney, Cinnamon, Jumbie, and Vi's (our 1st time
we have been there) each once. My husband and I are
kind of an odd couple cause we don't snorkel!!!We
tried it our very first year on StJ and my husband
who suffers from terrible motion sickness,(just making
it to the island is an ordeal...) could not handle
the small waves. So good wife that I am, I have not
whined about it too much. I keep reading all of your
TR's and looking at the beautiful underwater photo's
and I can't help but think maybe I should just try it
on my own. Maybe next year  Does this ever happen
to any of you? Every year, at least once, we have what
we refer to as a "weird" thing happen. This year we had 2 weird happenings. The first one was on Honeymoon
beach probley about 8-830a.m. We were the only ones on
the entire beach, don't ya just love that, and then we
see a "couple" stroll up and set in the sand. What's so weird about that your thinking....Did I mention that she had on 4" heels???They were close enough to us that we all said Good Morning, and when they looked
right at us she could not have been more than 18 or so and her white haired gentleman friend, in his Speedo, was never gonna see 70 again. But the weird part for me was the 4" heels walking in the sand....Ok I confess, the whole thing was WEIRD. To Be

love Honeymoon! and we're not really snorkelers either. Hubs really not confident in the water so I basically skip it.

I have trouble walking on the sand in no heels, I can not imagine 4" heels. I would have been falling all over that 70 year old in the speedo :P

Your story reminds me of a morning and friend of mine and I headed to Jumbie. It was just us -- or so we thought-- until we waded out into the water and looked back toward the beach.

Down on the end of the beach on the right, next to the rocks a very young, tall and physicaly fit man was sunning himself (very tan) in a very "clothing optional" way.

And let me just say this (as politely as I can): the gentleman would have definitely qualified as a strong candidate for the adult film industry. It was boogie nights all over again.

My friend, who is a lesbian, looked at me, pointed at the young man and said, "That's all the reason I need not to be playing for your team."

It was an interesting morning to say the least!!!
*Another fine scatterbrained production

X, you are so right about having trouble in the sand without heels. I cannot even imagine!
