Trip Report part 5
Saturday
The problem with going to bed early is that I get up even earlier. I don't think I made it past 5:00am on this day. I started some coffee and made notes of everything from the day before so that I could do my TR. I watched another beautiful sunrise, then got ready for our BVI day. All 16 of us met Capt. Truman, Capt. Stan, and Capt. John in Coral Bay. They are the best! We met Truman and Stan last year, then had the pleasure of meeting John for the first time this year. I would highly recommend a trip with any of them!
Here is our boat for the day

another of ours

and another.

We did a little paperwork and then we were on our way.

We stopped to snorkel Newfound Bay. My sister and I were passing my camera back and forth underwater and somehow we got water in it. That was the last time that it worked on this trip. The rest of the trip I had to use my iphone for pics. I did get a few from friends too.
After snorkeling we went to Jost. We didn't make any other stops first due to the size of our group.

The captains got us through customs and we went to Corsairs.

We didn't plan on it, but we ended up eating at Corsairs. I ordered the fish tacos. I'm not sure what kind of fish it was, but they were so good. There were 3 tacos with big pieces of mild white fish. It is making me hungry thinking about it. According to others, the fresh fish sandwiches were good too. We made a quick stop at Foxy's, then got in our boats and headed over to White Bay.

Our first stop there was Ivan's, my favorite.
We played some dominoes, chatted with Ivans and chilled there for most of the afternoon.

We eventually left Ivan's and stopped by The Soggy Dollar and One Love. I would have loved to spend more time there, but we needed to get back before customs closed. We mixed some rum drinks on the boats for the ride back, made it through customs on time, then went around the south side of St. John back to Coral Bay. We all went into Skinny's to watch the Belmont and talked to our captains and Capt. Stan's wife Kathy for a while. They are such nice people.
Our group ended up splitting up for dinner, with some eating at Skinny Legs and some going to Shipwreck Landing. I was with the group that went to Shipwreck. I ordered the strip steak this time. I ordered it medium-rare and it was cooked perfectly. It was huge too, but I managed to eat it all. Others ordered mahi, grouper, and fish and chips. Everyone enjoyed their meals there. It may be my favorite place to eat on St. John.
It was a long day, so we all went to sleep when we got back to the villa.

I'm loving your trip reports - thank you for taking the time to post and write them. Your boat day sounded fantastic! Capt. Truman is great - we used to go out with him when Capt. George was still here. His boats are nice and smooth. Vince from Corsairs (owner in your picture) is such a nice guy. Did he get anyone with his bug trick?

I agree about Vince (although I called him Vinnie). He is really nice and fun to talk with. I don't recall the bug trick though.
