Villa Belvedere

Has anyone stayed at or seen this villa in the last year and half? I'm trying to see if the concerns noted in the 12/06 villa review have been addressed. Since the reviews have been mixed, I would love to know if anything has changed.

I almost booked this villa for my upcoming July trip. My two choices were between Belvedere and Splendore. Belvedere used to rent through Vacation Vistas. I was also concerned about the poor reviews that Belvedere was getting, so I e-mail Lisa from Vacation Vistas and flat out asked her about the bad reviews and if anything had been done to correct the issues. She told me that the owners had fixed everything. I have a feeling the owners did this because several months ago this villa was for sale, so they probably felt a need to spruce it up before they put it on the market. Needless to say I booked Splendore which is very close to Belvedere, but you definitely can’t beat the views that Belvedere offers.

I rented this villa back in May 2005. Definitely had both high and low points. Let me know if you have any specific questions...
