8 days to go....Question about AA baggage charges

Greetings from Boston!
My husband read "somewhere" that if you booked your flight with FF miles, AA isn't charging for baggae as of yet. Is this true? Has anyone flown AA recently and have any reports?

I need to have him call AA I think. The answer will depend on how many bags we bring/check. We would bring our polar bear cooler with some food down if we they aren't charging for checked bags. If not.....we'll bring the cooler sans food!
