Going to Spain

Post by linne »

It seems as if the off topic forum is a little "dull" at the moment.

So I will contribute and tell that from the 18th of June and the next 3 weeks, you will not see any new topic with the Danish flag.

We are going to Spain and will stay in our small and simple, but very cosy cottage. A big part of the life takes place on the terrace, where we have a wonderful view to the Mediterranean, and on the beach, where we have found a beach restaurant with very good grilled sardines, which hubby loves. He could eat sardines every day. It's our vacation number 39 in Spain, but we are looking forward to come and are always exited to see how the cottage looks, if there are any damage etc...

"See" you again in July.

Have a great trip, Linne. In my next life I want to be you! :D

Linne, that sounds wonderful! I hope you have a terrific trip. When you are back, perhaps you could do one of your "off-topic" trip reports for us? I love reading about your adventures and looking at your pictures.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Good luck with travels. Bring plenty of fuel, I heard on the news that Seville was bone dry and that there were roadblocks to protest fuel prices. Have fun!!!

I need to get Sweet Christine to Spain for a couple of weeks. I used to go there to work at the Rota Navy base - Seville, Jerez, Puerto Santa Maria. I can smell it now. (jealous)

Thank you for your good wishes. I will tell about our life in Spain, when we return.

I don't hope we will have problems with water, Rick. Our water supply is only from the rain.
So perhaps we have to take bath on the beach!! :(

No, Teddy Salad, my Spanish isn't good. I know very many words, but I find the grammar difficult, and I don’t think that people in Andalucia talk the same Spanish, as I learn in school.

Hasta la vista!

Have a great trip! I've never been fortunate enough to make it to Spain, but my 15 yr. old daughter called be from Barcelona today. She said it is beautiful. They are going to a Flaminco (sp?)dance tonight, and a "Disco" tomorrow. Boy, our school trips were to the local museum. :?

I love love love Spain! I used to go to Madrid quite often for business and miss it terribly now. It is on my long list of travel destinations - I hope to vacation there sometime soon. Have fun!
