Who is going to see Buffett this summer?

Post by martini girl »

We head to the Philly show next Saturday the 14th!!
Having our Buffett planning party this Saturday night...you know, who's taking which drinks, jello shots, munchies, etc. Ya gotta love it when you catch your tour bus in the morning for an hour drive to Citizens Bank Ballpark, and set up shop for a 7:30 pm show. I just keep telling myself "pace yourself, pace yourself.." Anyone else out there??

We're going, but he doesn't hit hear until September 6th; nice way to ease out of summer.

Saw him at Jazz Fest and he was AWESOME (as usual)! Wish I would have known to go watch him on stage with Sonny Landreth during Sonny's act, but Sonny played the whole set with Jimmy Buffett!

You're gonna love the show, wish I was seeing him again!

Every year we try to bring a new drink with us. This year I think I'm going to make a few gallons of Pia's Coral Breezes. The past two years Buffett came to Philly/NJ in August and it was horrendously hot...so hot we could drink nothing but water. Ugh. The tires of the bus actually sank into the asphalt of the parking lot...Hoping it's a bit cooler next weekend.

I am so jealous of you all. I'm going on 50 and have never been to one of his concerts. Though the wife has been a couple of times. Missed seeing him by one day several years ago in Ocho Rios, Bahamas at his new Margaritaville. Damn cruise ship captains and thier tight schedules.
We will have to settle for Kenney Chesney on 6/19 to get our island groove on.

All you Parrot Heads have fun, enjoy, and be safe.

Luv ya,
Mike

Hey Nascarfan - he comes to Jazz Fest every two years and some times more often. He was just here this past one so if you don't catch him elsewhere, come on down for fest to see him :D

nascarfan - I went to my first Buffett concert for my 50th (you know, a pirate looks at 50), then again the next year. We missed seeing him last year, but have tickets to go to the "Parrothead convention" that is the Vegas shows ... we'll see him Oct 25th. Would love to do a few shows a year, but he never comes close enough to do it without a lot of travel involved.

Take the plunge and go see him soon, but until then check out www.radiomargaritaville.com and listen to all the concerts live! I think he played Raleigh, NC tonight but I missed it.

I shall report that a GRAND time was had by all in Raleigh, NC yesterday. With the 100 degree heat, we put a pool in the truck bed and froze more margaritas! Talk about battling the elements!

Jimmy and the band were great...as always. I wonder if I should make that trip to Manassas?! 8)

I was there on Saturday the 7th.

My first outdoor show and I have mixed feelings on the whole thing. We had fun but a lot of the people annoyed me. I'm all for getting stupid and having a good time, but there's no time where I ever want a shirtless drunk fat man falling down on me.

Excellent set list for the other night. I could have done without the 4000-degree temperatures. I didn't even drink and I'm still not right from the heat and dehydration.

I find myself saying this more and more. Went to the Yankee game Friday night and I have to say I just don't understand the people! Very annoying.
