Beachfront room Hawksnest beach
I think we have decided to stay in a Beachfront room on Hawksnest beach or Turtle Bay Beach @ Caneel for 4 nights. These rooms are $175 less per night than the premium beachfront and comes with a full buffet breakfast for two!
Has anyone else stayed on either of these beaches at Caneel?
Thanks!

Hi,
We stayed beachfront on Hawksnest and loved it. We had a first floor room and were steps from the water. It was off-season and quiet; we often had the beach to ourselves. The beach got great morning sun, so we'd hang out there in the morning and then explore the other beaches in the afternoon; great snorkeling at both ends.
I think as the actual room, they're about the same anywhere on the propery (exceptio the cottage).
My avatar is actually me on Caneel hawksnest.
have a great trip,

My wife and I Honeymooned at Caneel years back. We had reserved a Beachfront and were assigned to Hawksnest when we arrived. After seeing it, we aksed to be "downgraded" to (what is now a"Premium Oceanview") oceanview room. Reason? The Hawsknest units were two story (one room over and anthor under) and were right up agaisnt a very narrow beach that was covered with seagrape trees. We had a family of 5 with small kids under us. NOT honeymoon friendly! We moved to a one story unit on Cottage point (North Side if it if I remember correctly). It was terrific - walked to the beach within minutes and we had the Sunset. Hawksnest is the SUNRISE side - also not honeymoon friendly!
Good luck.
