A Few Questions (To Tickle Your Funnybone)

Post by pjayer »

A Few Questions

Been thinking about taking a little Caribbean vacation.
St. John sounds like a perfect tropical destination.

It'll be my first trip to the USVIs.
I need the straight skinny. Don't want a big surprise.

I Googled, Yahooed, searched, and then prayed.
Once I found VIOL, I knew I'd been saved.

I'm new to this forum and hope you don't mind.
May I ask a few questions? Won't take much of your time.

Been quite a long while since last I'd flown.
Didn't realize how long airline rules had grown!

So, please tell me now what I can carry on the plane.
TSA restrictions and "3-1-1" are muddling my brain.

With this one, I'm headed down a slippery slope. Undaunted, I beg a reply.
Since my 64 ounce jug of jelly's not allowed, what does KY cost in the VI?

Will it be hot in St. Thomas when my plane lands there?
Where do I find free rum and a lady to braid my hair?

Where do I catch a taxi and what should I expect to pay?
Is Charlotte Amalie better, or should I go the Red Hook way?

Next, I need someone to tell me exactly where and what to rent.
Should I just walk to Cinnamon Bay and pitch a baresite tent?

Bongo Bongo, Wagapalooza, Monkey no Climb?? To me, such folderol!
RickG, I need definitions, and you're the finest logophile I know.

Should St. John Spice be my very first stop and is Ruth the proprietress?
Is Cruz Bay Grill Rub really yummy? And, is her zip line a big success?

Are you sure I need a vehicle? If so, tell me exactly which one.
Should I rent it in St. Thomas? Or wait until on St. John?

Please post each and every thought and justify your reason.
Will I truly need a 4-wheel-drive, if it's not the rainy season?

Does everyone drive on the left? Now, that just doesn't seem right.
Jeez, my honey's driving's bad enough - I predict a marital fight!

Do you believe there'll be any problems parking my rental car?
Or, should I use the taxis, what's the fare, and do they go very far?

Is crime there very common? Will I be seen as an easy mark?
What time will it be safest to go outside after dark?

Which beach is best to spot sea turtles and how many do you think I'll find?
Which camera and lens are best suited for shooting their reptilian behinds?

I'd like some genips inked near my hips to memorialize my stay.
Can you hook me up with a tattoo artist somewhere in Cruz Bay?

And, can someone recommend a good charter for an off-island trip?
I prefer a small craft and nice captain to a crowded cruise ship.

Palm Tree Charters, I've heard, is the best you can find.
Should Captain John take us out? Your opinion, if you don't mind.

Is he a seasoned mariner and how pretty is his boat?
Will he bring along some noodles for those who can't seem to float?

Does he tell good stories? Will he bring his camcorder along, too?
Will he upload our bluegrass personas? I've heard he's a YouTube guru.

A few questions especially for Pia, who's ever patient and so nice.
Is a passport really necessary? Or, will my hunting license suffice?

And can you tell me what the weather will be like while I am there?
Rainy, windy, sunny, shady, breezy? Or just hazy and sort of fair?

Having recently enhanced my assets, I'd like to go a bit European.
Pia, is there a topless beach where I can flop so everyone can see 'em?

Finally, dear Pia, I dream of meeting KC somewhere along the way.
For the last time, please give me the precise location of his villa in Peter Bay.

I'll be eagerly awaiting your forum replies with much anticipation.
And, with great sincerity, I express my deepest appreciation.

Like Junie B. Jones, I need your answers speedy quick. Of essence is the time.
You see, my flight's scheduled for take off tomorrow morning at quarter till nine.

I hope this ditty tickled your funny bone a bit. If so, I'm tickled, too. :)
