Name that jelly?

This was washed up at Salt Pond Bay last week.
What is it? It was about 8 to 10 inches long.

Looks like a Portuguese Man of War to me, too. I've only seen smaller ones (2" - 3") in-person, but they look just the same. :shock:

By gosh I think you guys are right.
That looks just like the pictures.
And go figure I'm Portuguese too :o
Wish I would have taken the picture with something to reference the size. It was big! Knowing that they can still sting long after being beached the SIL moved it up into the bushes.

The VI Daily news reported that two of these had washed up on the south shore of STX. Watch where you are walking!!
