I think we are missing some trip reports

Mine is coming, I promise. I have all of the text typed in but I am still editing the photos. John and I both had cameras this time and between the 2 of us we took almost 2000 photos. As you can imagine, around 60-70% are automatic deletions (think VickiH's Mom's turtle butt photo), and I need to cull out at least another 20% before finalizing them and picking some to put in the report. Next time I think we'll have to bring a laptop so we can view and delete as we go.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

May was also fabulous! I'm being too lazy to figure out how to post pics and without pics, trip reports just aren't that great, as I'm sure you'd all agree. Besides, the quality of my photos is less than standard compared to some of our photographers here. Knock on wood, we had no problems with the Airlines coming or going, so no complaints. They did end up canceling the 1:00 ferry from CA on the day we arrived, but no big thing, we just headed to RH. I can say that we spent way more time at our villa than usual, which included dinners in for most of the week. (Not better, not worse...just different. I really think it depends on who you are on vacation with.) So, all in all, a very low key week, fabulous beaches, great weather, the usual day trip to Jost, good snorkeling, all spent with great friends and some much needed time off for my hubby. This was the trip that we were supposed to ferry over to STX to watch our friend do the half iron man, but at the last minute they canceled the ferry. All in all, I think it was a blessing in disguise, but at least we tried. (They finally joined up with us on Monday.) I placed the order for the rest of my pottery sconces from Schnell Studio for my money pit. (I'm going to have my very own "villa" in Connecticut - Aspen Ridge Vista). If I can't get myself on island then I'm bringing a little part of it to me. We had a great meal at Margarita Phils for Cinco de Mayo. (I know alot of you don't really care for this place, but we haven't yet been disappointed.) We also ate at Rhumblines (my favorite) one night, but I totally love spicey, so of course I love this place. We also went to Woody's one night for drinks and burgers. We hit a couple of bars to listen to music and did some shopping around town. Although I checked STJ Spice several times (at night) during the week, we didn't end up catching up with Ruth until Friday morning, just before heading out (hi Rith, bye Ruth all in the same breath). Like everyone else, it was very sad to leave. Final thought.......is it November yet (getting geared up for SOTB II, as well as meeting up with other forumites on island at that time)? Have a great day everyone!! Ali~

STJ - I "get it"
There's 2000 pictures, but most of them are not keep worthy. Over half are attempts to set up underwater shots. For example, I got a great close up of a french angelfish, but it took me 14 tries to get the fish framed right and facing in the correct direction. When I am done deleting I'll probably only have a couple of hundred between the two of us. (Don't worry, I won't post them all.cptnkirk wrote:liamsaunt 2000 pics.
