Ruth and I are working on one. It will be on her property and it will involve holding a machete and clearing as you go by

Edited to add the old post

Grateful Shed zipline tours? That would be a hit with the yellow monster next door!

I think it's an excellent way to get that property cleared!

Sorry sillymom, we're not laughing at you...it's the history of this question and what it spawned that's so funny :D

Oh, I am soooo glad someone other than me asked that question! :D

I now call my grandaughter "Zipline" because she was the one who brought it up a few months ago. It provoked some pretty hilarious responses. :P

CapnJay, now that you are in the VI, have you tried to do anything with the zipline idea?

Hey don't laugh you'll probably see one in the future wouldn't mind one at the top of Caneel Hill back down to Cruz Bay that trail is brutal and to think people run up that thing  The view is worth it though.

We will be coming down on the bike sometime within the next month may have to check it out. We visited last year and I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. First time ever and I've lived in OHIO for 44 years  It really rivals ST John in some of it's beauty and it's only 3 hrs away. I think I may post a few pics of it in the OT forum. Do you live around Hocking Hills?

Yes, we live in Hocking Hills and have cabin rentals!! And yes, it is "almost" as beautiful as St John (minus the turquoise waters!) I'll PM you with info on our cabins.

Instead of Zip Line

They might want to try parasailing or jet skis. Someone now offers a combination guided jet ski/snorkel tour taking you to more remote spots.

Or mountain biking.

So surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet but really, when you think about it, the BEST zipline trip would be from Pastory Gardens down through the new roundabout-to-be then through the new strip club and finally ending by the new casino-to-be at Wharfside.

Hmmm. Think I'll take a pass on that after all. Perhaps stick to hiking the National Park trails or swimming/snorkeling on the Nationa Park beaches late, late in the afternoon...
