Tigger

Post by snorkelqueen »

I just read on the On St. John site that Tigger passed away on May 1. I am sitting at my desk crying. Let's all hope Tigger is running down a beach in doggie heaven, a puppy again.

I came here to post this a little while ago but it had been posted on the OT forum so I didn't post it here...but that said, Tigger was a fixture on STJ so I think he deserves to be here

I too am really saddened by his passing. Poor guy.

I posted on the OT thread, too. I'm sure Tigger is hanging with my kitty, Bob, who passed away about 3 weeks ago. They're probably best buddies by now! It's so sad, but it's a part of life that we just never seem to get used to.

CG, I’m so sorry to hear about Bob. I lost a cat almost 2 years ago and it was about 2 months before a trip to STJ when she died. I went from being excited for an upcoming trip to STJ to not even caring. Cats and dogs really are family members to many of us and losing them is truly devastating.

I'm crying too - just saw it on On-StJohn. So very sad! It's so hard to loose a pet. Our Foster died in December 2006 and we miss him every day. Our Lager will be 12 this month and I celebrate every day I have with him.

OMG, I haven't checked the OT forum in a while. I had no idea. We loved Tigger and he seemed to be doing fine in March. I am just beside myself. When I think about my Jonesie passing, it rips my heart out. Some people see pets as animals put here for our enjoyment. I love my pets more than a lot of people I know.

Our pets truly are a part of the family. They give unconditional love. You don't get that from many others. Animals are truly a gift. I'm glad to see others "get it" when it comes to them. CG so sorry to hear about Bob. I hope he and Tigger are playing together.

I posted On-site St. John, what a wonderful life Tigger must have had. Living on St. John, and well loved, not too sahbby! I think someone should have t-shirts printed with photo of Tigger and donate proceeds to St. John animal rescue. What a great tribute! I'd buy at least 6!

That is a great idea for a tribute and fund raiser. He will be missed for sure.
When will I see St John again?

Low Key Watersports have t-shirts with Tigger's picture on them. Check it out ...

They say “Be the diver your dog thinks you are.”

Maybe they'll pick up on this and donate some of the proceeds.
