silly Q but where is Vicki......
I have not been on as much but use to seeing a post or 2 from Vicki. It just seems like she has not been on in a really long time....
I see her smiling face on top of the page wearing her shirt we sell here on the board.
Is she alright?

Dang it, FF, I told you that was classified. Great. I suppose I am on the lam again. And I was so getting used to being Daisy Lou Firebird living in this trailer in the AZ desert. The Feds kept me pretty well supplied with Ding Dongs and Dr. Pepper. I was even thinking about some pole dancing lessons. Oh well...
Truth is, I'm sitting on a runway in a plane bound for STT as I type. Should have toes in the sand before the evening is over...Thanks for asking!

VH- Solo, or do you have a posse this time? Regardless, enjoy!VickiH wrote:Dang it, FF, I told you that was classified. Great. I suppose I am on the lam again. Have a great trip.
Steve, I have a posse that unfortunately includes the mother-in-law many of you will recall of the "blue bucket" fame. Now, ya'll don't think I'm mean but she has a mysterious vague "knee injury" (she is "pity me" flavor of MIL) any getting through the airport with her was like trying to herd a 3 legged elephant. My mom's sweet, but after watching her try to figure out an mp3 player all day (for a visual, think Rainman), my last nerve is wearing thin.
Just landed, headed to the car ferry, and have been awake since 6 am Tuesday. If you hear of a tourist going nuts and strangling 2 old women....please post bail.

Folks, I got an ugly PM and feel compelled to make a statement. Sorry, but I gotta. This unnamed person apparently took offense at my comments regarding the moms and blasted me asking me if I knew anyone who was Autistic. I am posting this here so it can be read by anyone else who may have been offended.
First, my references were light. Rainman was a fictional character who WAS funny. Not a real person with a disability. Second, my 12 year old nephew is SEVERELY autistic. Diagnosed around age 2, he can't speak, can't feed himself, and still wears a diaper. And you know what? I love that kid with all my heart. I feed him, I change his diaper, and I give him every ounce of attention I can. Know who you are PM'ing before you do it, folks. And think about it first to make sure you aren't being hyper-sensitive and attacking someone you don't know.
Over the past 12 years, Payton has taught my whole family to have a sense of humor about things. It's laugh or cry. I choose to laugh. Sorry if that offends anyone. That was never my intention.
Roe, where have I been? Frankly, I have been staying away because some folks on here... Well... I just don't enjoy. It's lost some joy for me.
Bandit, where did you go? 'Cuz I think I'm ready to head there myself.

Wow.......Vicki I am sorry you got blasted.....my friend has 2 children are austistic. God bless ya for doing all you can for your nephew.
I have not been on this board enough I guess to say it is not fun......
I just miss the islands so much so I come on to get my dose of trip reports and hear how much you all love stj and the area...........
I do hope we get a TR from ya and some food porn.,
Hope your mom in law does not drive you to nuts.
I imagine once she feel those tradewinds and sees all those happy island faces.........she will change her tune..

Vicki I love you girl. You have always brought humor, light and a good vibe to the forum. Don't let anyone dampen your spirit. I think it is all too easy for someone to attack someone via PM or in a virtual world. You make assumptions easily about someone else's intentions without knowing them at all.
DO NOT LET ANYONE CHANGE YOU. You rock. You are truly a wonderful woman for taking your mom and hubby's away for this mother's day adventure even as you know it may pose certain challenges and frustrations.
More rum. Now.
