We are in the Fish Bay area. How 'bout directions from say, the Weston, going out of town???mbw1024 wrote:where are you guys staying now? or are you not saying until you return? which is cool![]()
PA Girl has been to Splendore, maybe she can guide you.
We just want to do a drive by to get a sense of it's location. Never stayed on Maria Bluff before.

Marcia: I've visited Splendore for an evening. It's a great villa, very upscale and romantic. Views are mostly open water with St. Thomas off to the right. I'll attempt to give you the directions - it's fairly easy to find:
After you pass The Westin, take the next right onto Great Cruz Bay Road (you'll see dumsters on the left). Follow Great Cruz Bay road, going over several (9 or 10) speedbumps and past several driveways, maybe 1/2 - 3/4 of a mile. Some villas you'll pass on the right will be Palm Hill villa, Villa Belvedere, Serenity, then Nautilus and Sea Stone villas. After you pass Sea Stone, start looking for a left turn (more like a switchback). This will be right before Great Cruz Bay Road turns to gravel and near Beyond The Sea villa. Then take the next left (I think) and Splendore is the 3rd or 4th house on the left. It's right next door to ChocoCruz and you'll recognize Splendore if you're familiar with the photos of the entrance to the villa.
Hope this helps and is not too confusing. I'm a bit confused myself now. I hope you get better directions than mine but it's a pretty simple neighborhood to navigate. Good luck!

My wife and I have stayed there twice and loved it. Cindy's directions are correct. I would add that if you look at the video near the end where Choco Cruz is pointed out, the very next left is the shared driveway for three villas - on that shared driveway, the back driveway for Choco Cruz is the first left and Splendore is the next left.

My wife and I are staying at Splendore this July. Are there curtains or shades in the bedrooms? The reason I ask is in looking at the bedroom photos on Vacation Vistas website and the one photo from yours, I don't see any.trptman wrote:My wife and I have stayed there twice and loved it. Yes, there are shades in both rooms. We stayed in the left room (when facing the pool) and the shades were the black-out type. The house gets full sun and we found, after the first day, that keeping the shades down during the day kept the room much cooler.
In person, the house is sooo much nicer that the website pictures. Vacation Vista's pictures don't do the house justice and should be updated.

We stayed at Splendore in mid-April. Great house. The directions are right...it's just hidden down that road. Best roadmark last month was to take the left at the house under construction. It's on the left about another 50-100yds.
We had a great week of temps, as it was around 80 all week. We never used the air. The sun is on the house/pool all day, so the pool is great around 4pm. We also never closed the curtains. Despite not liking waking up at 6am, there is nothing like looking at the view when you wake up.
