sunset catamaran cruise

Post by Marcia (Mrs. Pete) »

Pete and I are interesting in doing a little sunset catamaran cruise in the next couple of days. Does anyone have any recommendations or any "do not do this" experiences?

I tend to get a bit of motion sickness and I'm a huge wimp with things of this nature. That's why I suggest a cat...

We don't want a big boat with a bunch of yahoos. What we want is a calming experience that will hopefully be so wonderful that it will be the first step in my baby step process to get me to the BVIs for a day trip. Cocktails and apps on the boat would be nice.

Any ideas?

Thanks everyone!!

Missing St. John. As always.

Cruz Bay Water Sports sends a big cat off the Westin Docks once or twice a week, Island Spirit I think, a beautiful boat , sometimes quite a few people or sometimes just a few, but in the right weather is just a nice sail out, watch the sun go down, drink a few rum drinks, have some nice pupus, find a nice quiet place to sit on the boat with your gal or guy and watch the sunset. Have enjoyed it a couple off times and usually very nice.
any landing you walk away from

We did the Island Spirit sunset cruise in 2006. It was nice, calm, relaxing, w/open bar and snacks, and only about 1 hour long, give or take. Not the least bit wild or crazy (we had to go back into town afterward for that :)) I don't know how much they charge for the cruise as we were given complementary tickets, but I'm sure Connections or Pat at the Info Booth (if she still works there) can set you up.

We absolutely loved the Calypso sunsent cruise. We organized it with Sheree. It was only our group of 6 on board, beautiful cat, wonderful captain, open bar and apps provided. Very peaceful and lasted about an hour and a half. I need to see about getting us booked for our next cruise in three weeks!!
