Windwardside guest house

Post by BGECKO »

Has anyone ever stayed at Windwarside guest house of the Calabash cottages? Opinions?

How about Captain's cabin (Below Horizon's cabin) near John's Folly area?

Need a budget, but private, clean villa for Jan.09...budget under $200/night for two weeks stay.

HELP

Thanks,
BJ

Windwardside/Calabash Cottages

Post by BabaAus »

We just got back from StJ where we spent a week, with another couple, at Windwardside Calabash Cottages and then a few days on both ends, alone, at Estate Concordia.

W/CC is VERY nice! Well laid out, very nicely equipped, fabulous views, comfy and quite private
(we laid out in the sun nekkid up there). The only criticisms are the challenging access road up there. Four-wheel drive is an absolute must as are steel nerves on your first ride up and then down again later. After a coupla trips and countless painkillers, you'll be an old pro. Second gripe was the crappy beach chairs. We ended up renting better ones for the week out at Estate Concordia.

The seperate bedroom/bathroom pods are great and afford you that extra privacy you need so your friends don't hear what they don't need to. ;-)

Highly recommended (pun intented)!
