Boat excursion

Post by AmyR »

Leaving in 2 weeks to spend 2 weeks in STJ on our 11th trip to paradise. Wondering if anyone has gone to Cane Garden Bay Tortola on a private boat rental. We use OceanRunners when we go. I wasn't sure how far it is from Foxy's Taboo. I am having a difficult time locating a map that shows details to both Jost van Dyke and Tortola.

If anyone has gone there, I'd appreciate any input as well. Our crew is in our late 30's+ and likes to bar hop on our boat trips.

Thanks,
Amy

You need to get on the calendar Amy. Maybe we'll see you and your drunken gang of 30 somethings around... :)

We'll be the ones at Woody's with the dice game going! See you there possibly! I'll apologize ahead of time for our behavior! Now that that's out of the way....rum punch time?

If you have a larger crew, you may want to check out 340-774-BOAT. It's a larger capacity vessel, so it doesn't go as fast, but sometimes that's a good things, right?

charter boats

Post by va2stj »

We just got back from stj. We did 1 boat charter with Lion in Da sun and had a blast!! Jordan was our captain, he went anywhere we wanted! From stj you can go to Tortola,Jost(foxys, foxys taboo, soggy dollar, ivan's). Also, Norman Island to Willey T's. You can get around to more places if you want. We were supposed to go snorkeling----but were having too much fun bar hopping our way BVI. We got another charter w/Capt. John Brandy on Friday (Lion was booked), we had a great time with him also. If you call either one, I'm sure they would answer your question about distances.

Thanks Danny. We've done the Jost and Norman route so many times I was curious if anyone had gone to Cane Garden Bay and if they liked it. We stick with Oceanrunners as we are friends with a couple of the guys now and like to hook up with them. I'll ask them when we're down there in a couple weeks.

Thanks again,
Amy

I've not done a daytrip from STJ to CGB, but have stayed there. There are a number of bars and restaurants along the beach; and if a cruise ship is in there will be a makeshift bar about every ten yards down the beach.

Here's a map that will give you some detail of CGB and Foxy's Taboo - just click on each island for the detail.
