posting photos??

How do I add my photo to my name? I tried to follow the instructions on my profile page, but it didn't work. Also, how do I add photos from a trip to my post? Thanks all you superior tech people!

To add a photo to your name, go to your profile (link is near the top right of the page) and scroll down to the Avatar section. You can upload an image from your computer, but it has to be small. (I reduced mine using Paintbrush, freebie software.) You can also find one online and point to the URL.

To add images to a post, first they need to be uploaded somewhere that doesn't require a login to view them. Lots of people use Webshots, Flickr, etc. Once your pictures are online:
Go to the image and right click. Select Properties and copy the URL for the picture (CTRL-C). Back in your post, click the "Img" button, paste the location of your image (CTRL-V) then click "*Img".

OR in Webshots (don't know about others) if you click on the image it has an option called "Post in a forum" that gives you the code for posting the picture, without clicking the "Img" buttons as above. Just copy/paste the code into your post.

Use the Preview button to make sure it works before you press Submit. (It took me a few tries to get it right the first time.)

There might be a way to post directly from your computer without uploading, but I don't know how.
