Villa Arco Iris
Villa Arco Iris
Has anyone ever stayed at this villa? (Caribbean Villa's)
I've only read one review on it and it was almost 2 years ago.
I'm planning my next trip to Stj in December and we have narrowed it down to a couple of places but really like this one.
Anyone ever stay in Fish Bay?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Amy

Hi Amy,
Arco Iris is always on my short list, however, we have never stayed there.
It is just down the road from Miles Away, which we've stayed at twice. It is an easy 10 minute drive into Cruz Bay. It is far enough out of town that it is a nice quiet area, but yet not too far.

Yo...We have stayed right under that villa in Bejaflor. It is right on the road but has a great view. We watched it being built. We also stayed at Southern Exposure looking over Fish Bay. The area is great. God bless...Bill

Amy, this post was recently on the "Best Villa Value" thread:

We have stayed at:
Glenmar
Arco Iris
Dreamcatcher (would be reluctant to recommend - although the view is tough to beat, the house needs some TLC)
Of the three, we liked Arco Iris the best...Good views of Fish Bay, nice pool, AC in bedrooms, short drive into town. The one drawback to this house was that the bedrooms were all seperate from the great room...If you have children, this might be a problem.

Hey Patr...Coundn't have said it better myself!
Yes, we did stay at Arco Iris in July of 2005. Like I said, I loved the place, but my wife and her Mom were not quite as fond. The house itself is beautiful (to which they agree). They weren't in love with the outdoor showers (I happen to love them), and again, the fact that the rooms were not connected...One upstairs across a breezway from the great room, two downstairs at pool level.
The pool and surrounding area is very nice as well. The neighborhood is pretty quite, not sure if there would be more construction going on now though. The ride into town is relatively short, and you're pretty close to Gifft Hill Rd as well, which will get you started in the direction of Bordeaux Mtn., Coral Bay, and you could get to the North Shore Beaches this way if you didn't want to drive through Cruz Bay.
Oh, and Ditleff Point is right below you as well. I guess there is good snorkeling there, but we never tried it.
All in all, great house...I would rent again.
