trip report for st. john/jost march 8-12
Sorry no pics or even food porn......just do not seem to take pics.
Since this was a short trip just to see Ivan and family and my buddies on STJ here goes
Sat March 8
Flight from Ft. Lauderdale to STT was fine on Spirit.
I met this nice couple who hubby had forgotten his birth certificate/passport and they were going for a week to Jost. I do hope they got there.
Arrived in Cruz bay around 5:30 and headed to Quiet Mon. Kenny was not working so Kelly just kept giving me rum drinks.......I did have the dark and stormy and it was quite good.
Since I was staying in town (cat sitting) right across from Tamarind just treked on up.
I had quite the little buzz on so did not do much but pass out. I woke up at 4A to find out no water and no paper to use in the bathroom. I did have some with me so thank god.
Sun March 9
Went over to visit my neighbor to get the water on and then to Tamarind to borrow some TP.
Since no shower did not make it to mass.
Instead met up with Abby and had brunch at Tamarind.
yummy..........benedict with smoked salmon and sundried tomato's. Abby had crab benedict.
Headed off to talk to Malinda and Tom and then trek over to Honeymoon.
Malinda and Tom picked me up on there way to Caneel so then I just had meander in.
I love Honeymoom and there was only about 10 people at the most on Sun afternoon.
I spent a few hrs and then headed back and stopped at Deli Grotto for a drink and to chat with Sheffy.
As I was walking back towards my place, who do I see outside Caps but Kenny.........he was thinking he was hallucinating when he saw me.
Than the other kenny appeared. By the time we made it to Quiet Mon I had about 6 people following me.....I looked like the Pied Piper I was told.
Really nice to just chill with my friends.
I got a text headed back over to Mongoose and to Sun Dog and then Tyler was working so got to chill with him to......
We had burgers and painkillers.
Then I decided I had to check out Starfish gourmet, get some food for my trip to Jost and of course replace the TP for Tamarind.
I really like Starfish gourmet...........
Well that is the first 2 days and will post later about Jost and my reunion with Ivan that was just the best..............

Monday March 10
Woke up early and headed to Deli Grotto for my chai jump up. I would go see Sue Brandi and Everyting but since she is off island for a bit figured Sheffy could do it.
Also wanted a sandwich for my trip to Jost.
My ferry did not leave til 11:30A so had a nice leisurely morning just hanging with the kitties and seeing more people.
I met some cool travelers on the ferry to W. End and then onto Jost.
When I got over to White bay early afternoon they were jammin.......it was emmancipation day so lots of people.
They put me up in Arawak ...the bed could have fit like 4 people.....lol
I love having a little porch.....
Charlene and Darlene and Renee and Rumahl were tending to everyone so I just chilled and chatted......
Ivan was on STT for the day.
I always forget how calming it is to be on White Bay. When you have been away for over 2 yrs even more so.
We just chilled all day and then went to sleep early.
Tuesday March 11.
my time with Ivan is always too short
I met this really cool guy and his cousin who sailed their boat down from Maine after christmas and were hanging around til end of month.
I met this dude who was there for the winter from LI and then met this really cool couple who were camping and trek into Great Harbor for breakfast and lunch at Corsairs..........
Ivan has built a 2 story villa(house) for people to rent........
I want to just live on the top floor........what a view.
Chris (ccasebolt) had texted me to say she would be on White Bay later that day........cool
so she will post pics.
She arrived later with her gang and we just drank some painkillers and rum punch and chilled and chatted.
Ivan was introducing me to everyone who I have not met and showing everyone what I wrote for him on the wall that is framed.
We just hugged and chilled together for the day.
I took the trek into Great Harbor to Corsairs to have a bite with my new buddies and soem ice cream.
All in all a really enjoyable even though short time

Did not really do a walk to woe on White Bay but just took it all in. I know my next time on island will be much sooner then last........
I want to thank you all for your pics and trips reports.. they have been my saving grace.
