Hello,
You guys were great helping with the frozen food question. Now I have this question, There will be 8 of us with baggage (scuba equipment and cooler of frozen food) should we rent a van and a 4 door jeep? or two jeeps? on STT, or take the ferry to STJ and rent there ? Maybe we only need the van and leave it at the villa for wife and kinds, and take a taxi to the dive boat. Thanks for any help.

If I was you, I'd rent to Jeep Libertys or something similar. 2 Door Jeep Wranglers aren't big enough in my opinion for 8 people and gear. I would not want to drive a van around on the switchbacks and hills that get wet with rain. The Jeep Liberty has a pretty good trunk area and plenty of room for 4 people. I prefer renting on StJ, but you'll get different preferences there. I'd definitely get two vehicles with 8 people though!

Next year's trip we'll have 8 and I'm planning on 1 STT rental and 1 STJ.
STT - Allows you to pick up cheaper groceries and you'll save a lot on taxi and ferry cost.

STJ - Gives you a parking spot in Cruz Bay and is a good hedge if there are problems with the STT jeep.
