When to book for Presidents Week BOS or PROV to STT

Post by Greenskeeper »

Any suggestions on when to book? This year we went to Punta Cana and booked in September. Seats were at a premium and we ended up being scattered throughout the plane and having to fly Monday to Monday with no direct flights available.

Can we expect the same issues to STT if we wait? Anyone have any predictions on pricing?

Sorry, just hearing the predictions on gas prices for this summer and my head is spinning.

look at American airlines out of Boston, one stop however they had low prices for June / July however best cost was for a Saturday to Saturday. I booked end of November for June 28 depart/

Move to NH and kids have the following week off, vacation costs are lower

Presidents week flights

I would go to American Airlines web site and pick out the flight you want, before you actually book the flight check the seating availability. If the plane is getting full I would book sooner rather than later. American usually has direct flights that time of year.
Also check out Spirit Air out of Providence. Their flights make one stop in Florida, but sometimes they have very good prices.
It has been my experience that you pay top dollar to fly during school vacations.

It is still too early (329 days out) but I definitely would check as soon as they go on sale especially if you want the non-stop flight and want to be together. That is such a wicked busy (and expensive) week and with fuel prices soaring, it isn't going to get any cheaper. We're going after Christmas and were able to get tickets with miles but the direct flight was quoting at almost $2000 each!!

I think most of Massachusetts is ready to move to the "Live Free or Die" state! LOL Having school vacation the week after President's Week would be a very nice bonus.

This was the first year we booked a vacation Presidents Week. We ended up going Monday-Monday so the kids missed one day of school. I just couldn't justify (or afford) the $5,000.00 price difference to go Saturday to Saturday.
