q's for upcoming trip

Post by designbyroe »

Hi all
I am going from Ft. lauderdale to STT on Spirit.
I am not checking bags and wondered, if I print my boarding pass how long do I need to be there before the flight? Is 1.5 hrs enough?

Also I know about the clear gallon baggy to put all my toiletries in, is that the same for my meds I have to take currently? Can I just have them in my other bag (somswhat like a purse)

Lastly, I am heading to Quiet Mon first and then up to Tamarind to pick up my friends keys. People keep telling me that area where Texaco used to be is not safe. I think since the Schnell's put there studio there, and also it will be 8p not 1A I should be fine what do ya all think?

Under the conditions you lay out, 1.5 hours has been more than sufficiently long enough for me.

The carry-on liquids have to be in a quart-size ziplock bag. A gallon bag is too big. The individual containers cannot be larger than 3 oz. I think there is an exception for medical liquids up to 4 oz. Check TSA's web site to confirm this.

1-1.5 hours is plenty if you're not checking luggage and have your board pass already. You better check on the Spirit or TSA site about the meds, depending on what type they are.
Can't help ya on the other question, but if ya have some "street smart" sense then go for it.

Have fun!

so I can use more then 1 qt size clear bag for my toiletries as carry on?
I was thinking it had to all fit in 1 qt size bag.
Pretty much everything I have is 1.7 oz or 3oz and less nothing larger.

Each passenger is allowed a single quart-size bag.

Only one quart-size ziploc bag per person. Just put in your liquids and/or gels. Those liquids/gels must be 3 oz or less, this would include liquid make-up and lip glosses. Regular lipstick and prescription medicine (tablets) does not have to go in the ziplock.

So much has changed since I last flew to the islands the fall of 2005, or maybe it is just 'cause I am doing carry on.........

Only one quart size ziplock bag is allowed and you must be able to close it and it has to hold anything that is liquid and each "liquid" item must not be more than 3oz in size.

Examples of liquids - foundation, lip gloss, sun block, deodorant, toothpaste, hand lotion, body lotion, hair gell, shampoo, conditioner etc......not much room in that 1 quart size ziplock bag :)

Hope this helps

all I have is a little tube of toothpaste, face cleaner, moisturizer, dental floss, toothbrush, body wash, shampoo and conditioner.
I could not find sun block that small so will have to buy on island.
think that will fit in the qt bag right?
