Flip Flop Question
Hi Flip Flop,
We have rented Hale Lani for a week In Nov '08. Just want to ask 2 questions... 1. How is the drive way? I am a bit of a chicken. and 2. Someone commented that they looked at Hale Lani and thought the downstair bedrooms were musty. Any thoughts?
We are traveling with 5 adults and a 3 and 9 year old. Looks like this house should work nicely! I have read your review of the villa, thanks!

Hi there...sorry I was off line all weekend and am just glancing through posts now.
1. The driveway is fine. A little steep but not bad at all. There is room for 2 jeeps easily, a 3rd is possible but it might be take a lot of turns to get a jeep in or out.
2. The downstairs seemed to me to be very recently redone. Not musty at all. The bedrooms down there are separated by the bathroom on one end and a pocket door on the other side so they wouldn't be the best for 2 couples seeking privacy, but were fine for gramma and the kiddos in our case. My only issue with the downstairs is the you have to go out of the house and around by the driveway and down a curved staircase. I wouldn't put our daughter down there to bed by herself. So we'd put her to bed in our upstairs room and then my husband would move her downstairs when my mom was ready to go down. It was actually very quiet and peaceful down there.
There is TONS of storage/closet space down there and a very nice bathroom.
