1 Night in STT-before Villa Stay-Crystal Cove?

Post by Lauren »

Hi
In the past we have stayed @ Estate Lindholm for a night prior to villa check-in. but it's sold out! So, we are looking in St Thomas-
Ritz (too pricey) Marriott (sold out!) We would prefer to be near the Red Hook ferry. Anyone have experience with Crystal Cove or Whyndam? Crystal Cove is so inexpensive(do you get what you pay for?) and the 70 decor is a little scary...
However, reviews on Trip Advisor are excellent! Would appreciate any feedback
or suggestions- Thanks, Lauren

I just booked 2 nites coming and going at the Green Iguana Inn.Nothing fancy, not near Red Hook but $105.00 per nite it looks great.Up the hill in CA with a the Harbor and the manager was expecially accomadating with the 4 kids.I remember reading last week where someone else on the forum had stayed there so I checked it out.I think a nite time view of CA is going to be a perfect start and finsh to the trip.

We enjoyed Secret Harbour last year and plan to spend our first night there again in May. It is pretty close to Red Hook.

Although we've never stayed there, I vote for Secret Harbour. In fact, Pete and I were just discussing this issue the other night ("what if we were to stay on STT, where would we stay?"). We overwhelmingly agreed upon Secret Harbour. We've never heard a bad thing about it, the restaurant is fantastic (we've eaten there before) and the location is lovely.

So, that's what I'd recommend.
