Peter Bay

Post by chazalez »

Hi- I am stepping out of the shadows to ask some questions. I really find this forum fun and informative so here goes... Does anyone know anything about Rotunda in Peter Bay? I have not read a review. Is the beach within walkable distance? Thank you in advance.

There is a path from the Peter Bay villa development to Peter Bay Beach. I don't have any knowledge of the villa you have mentioned but I've been to the beach there. You can swim out to the right and around the rocks over to Little Cinammon and then further if you want to Cinammon. Turtles hang out sometimes in Peter Bay over to the left near the giant sprawling mansion at the point. Does anyone have updated information on that huge project. Did it finally get completed and is it now lived in. My understanding is that the owner had something to do with creating the electronics in satellite phones or something like that. A chip maker. Anyone know?

Based on the website, Rotunda is in Upper Peter Bay (above Northshore Road), so chances are, after seeing how steep the hill is, you'll want to drive to the beach. The good news is that from that location its about a 3 or 4 minute drive to several great beaches.

I've stayed at the Gatehouse and as PAGirl said, the walk back up from the beach is killer, especially if you have chairs, cooler, etc. You can drive down to the beach and there's a little pull-over just opposite the path. Don't blink or you'll miss where the little path starts. I think there's a little sign but it's hard to spot. Ali~
