BIG SCREEN ON THE BEACH, ST. CROIX

WEEKLY CARNIVAL EXTRAVANGANZA, ST. THOMAS
There is no place like Iggies for a taste of Carnival, and local culture. Every Wednesday join the crowd at Iggies Beach Bar and Grill at Bolongo Bay for its famous Cruzan Carnival Extravaganza. SUNSET JAZZ, ST. CROIX
On the third Friday of each month, The Frederiksted Economic Development Association (FEDA) hosts an impressive roster of local and international jazz musicians on the Strand Street waterfront stage. Admission is free and families are welcome. Concertgoers are urged to bring their own folding chairs or blankets to spread on the grass. The music starts at 5:30 p.m. and continues for two hours. MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY CELEBRATION, ST. JOHN
The St. John Community Crisis Center M.L.K. Jr. Picnic for Peace will be held February 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the National Park Ball. There will be various community groups in attendance such as the Boy Scouts, Young Democrats, Department of Labor and many more sharing their information. All youth groups are especially encouraged to attend. Entertainment includes the dazzling sounds of The Love City Pan Dragons, as well as the daring displays of the Love City Leapers jump rope team along with reggae rhythms of Inner Visions. A free community lunch will be served. Highlights will also include a dunk tank, face painting, games and arts & crafts for the youth. PLAYING RING, ST. THOMAS

JUMP UP A CELEBRATION, ST. CROIX
On February 8, join the fun of a street party St. Croix style. Jump Up is an event that takes place 4 times a year in the streets of downtown Christiansted. Stores stay open late and offer special sales while vendors line the streets selling local food and drinks as well as fun items for the kids. CLASSICAL MUSIC FESTIVAL, WATER ISLAND
February 9 marks the beginning of the 3rd Annual Water Island Classical Music Festival. Carnegie Hall Pianist Julian Gargiulo returns bringing to the Virgin Islands a performance of the program he played in January at New York's Carnegie Hall. Joining Julian are Russian pianist Maria Yefimova, classical guitarist Alejandro Cote and operatic soprano Roza Tulyaganova of Uzbekistan. Make plans to come to Water Island - there will be ferry service from St. Thomas from the Crown Bay Marina. The concerts are free, however donations being accepted! ST. CROIX AGRIFEST 2008, ST. CROIX
The Agriculture and Food Fair of the US Virgin Islands is the largest agricultural exposition in the territory. The Fair will be held from February 16-18 on the grounds of the Rudolph Shulterbrandt Agricultural Complex in Estate Lower Love, St. Croix. Gates are open Monday, February 18 from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The Agriculture and Food Fair is a showcase for locally produced agricultural products, livestock, arts and crafts and native cuisine. Throughout the weekend, fair goers can sample foods such as kallaloo, maufe, tarts, and candies and local drinks like ginger beer, sorrel, passion fruit and maubi. It is also an opportunity for residents and visitors to purchase fair T-shirts, post cards, the fair booklet and other souvenirs. Residents and visitors are invited to participate in this wonderful package of family fun and entertainment planned for the 37th anniversary celebration.
