Sick of being sick over airfare...

Post by chrisn »

So I said screw it and booked!

Villa - Check
Airfare - Check

Cost of RT airfare for 4 - $2483 (620 RT from SLC)

Peace of mind value - Priceless

My only concern is we have to take an American Eagle connecting flight from San Juan. Have never done this. Anything we need to know?

american eagle flight

We always end up on an American Eagle flight from San Juan to St. Thomas and no problem. I am not wild about prop planes but the American Eagle planes are good sized so not scary at all. We paid 640.00 each for flights in July from LA this year and that has been the ballpark price for us for years. Have a wonderful time....one less thing to worry about.

We were in that price range for March, a little bit better. I'm glad I don't have to worry about it any more.

Those little planes from SJU? Just don't open the windows if its raining.

Cheers, RickG

We bought our tickets in 9-07, flying Delta down & CA
back through PHX for $368 each. Found flying red eyes & Wed. cheaper.

I don't know of too awfully many airlines that go direct to STT. I have always taken an AE flight from SJU to STT. Not that big of a deal. Literally you're up and down in 30 min. Only a few delays I've experienced, however many instances of luggage delays if the connection time is short. SJU is somewhat notorious for this. Be sure to bring a carry-on with the essentials (and a swimsuit!), so that a day delay doesn't completely ruin your day!
