Morning All! Flip Flop is running off to CA today, but I figured out how to send photos to Flickr using my phone via email. Isn't technology great? Although, I'm probably paying $12 a minute for some kind of roaming and just don't know it yet.....

Morning showers are giving way to blue skies as I sit here with this view drinking my coffee.
Yesterday took me to Maho where I attempted to snorkel, only to runinto what must have been the annual STJ barracuda convention, because they were everywhere. That was followed by a great dinner at Rhumb Lines and painkillers at the Beach Bar. Great day!
This being my first visit during "peak season," I have noticed some differences. First, it is freakin' crowded! Second, the people that come at this time if year are "different" than the folks that seem to come off season. It's a little snooty pants for my taste. Just sayin'.....
Liamsaunt- I knew what you meant. Isn't Serenity over here too?
Jimg20- I'm sure I won't let you down!
Jersey- The lenses are great, but I look like such a geek because I am toting them everywhere. I can't help it. And every shot I take, I have to take, change lens, take, change lens, take, change lens.... Because I want to see it with each one. Sad. I did stalk a hummingbird yesterday and got some great shots.
JT- Mullet King is that guy. He deserves to be awed and revered. (of course I got a pic... Ya'll know me...)
Ccasebolt- your husband will be happy. iPhone works all over, even out here on Francis. Works best at the Beach Bar, giving you guys a legit reason to go there daily.
Later! The beach is calling....

Vicki,
Another nice one. You inspired Deb and I this morning to figure out how to post pictures via the Iphone both Flickr and our Blog. That is going to come in real handy on the island. As for the iPhone and roaming you should be fine. ATT treats the USVI an PR as part of the nationwide plan
Have fun
Jay

Vicki-
Agree with you about the island being crowded and the snooty this time of year. We usually take our adult trip during peak ( winter) because the kids are in school and I'm off because of the weather(construction). We have also gone in June, August (HOT) and September and it's much more laid back and friendly with the other vacationers. We usually go to the smaller restaurants such as Margarita Phil/ Beach Bar etc. this time of year and save the going out for our other trip during low season. Parking in town also S@#ks this time of year. Have a great time and thanks for the crappy picture, I can here the beach calling too, just can't get to it like you!

Hi, Vickie. Mr. Mullet is Ken, if I remember correctly. He is a really good, and respected, Coral Bay guy. He was voted to have the best coiffure in a Coral Bay poll a couple of years back. In that poll, Kenny, the Island Blues bartender, was voted to have the best laugh [he sounds eerily like Woody Woodpecker], and Donna at Shipwreck was voted to have the best pour on that side of the island. I could be wrong, but I believe Ken with the mullet has something to do with Thankspigging at Skinny's.
Thanks for your pics, and I gotta admit I-Pod phone thing is pretty impressive!

When you find yourself in a hole.... quit digging.
just FYI this is what we thought but we got hit with "data" charges this time. apparently the data time is not the same as phone time when you are in the USVI's.captainjay wrote:Vicki,
