Weather next 7 days

If anyone who is on St John can help us:

We looked at the forecast for the next 7 days and it says cloudy/showers everyday...

I read from the forums that it rains almost every day but not for long, so the weather.com forecast should usually not be a cause of concern.

Is this what we can expect for the next 7 days or has it been more cloudy/rainy recently for extended periods of time?

Its our first trp and we get there on Thursday for a week and were hoping to catch some sun on the beautiful beaches there!!

Hi salamander! We are here right now and it has been gorgeous. It has rained almost every day (we got here on the 27th), but almost exclusively during the night. I'm beginning to think I'm in Camelot!

A couple clouds yesterday afternoon, but not until about 3:30 or 4:00, so we had already been at the beach for about 6 hours. A bit cloudy this morning but I'm confident it will clear up.

You will have a great time!

Well I may have spoken too soon. It's been raining for a while, and I'm the type that likes to get on my way by 7:30 or 8:00. (OK if I had my way it would be more like 6:30 or 7:00.) Here it is 8:15 and I'm chomping at the bit. Oh well, I'll enjoy my coffee for a bit more and see what happens. I'm confident there will be sun later!

We are leaving Friday and I never look at those weather reports anymore. They're always the same and they scare you till you know better.

Have no fear Salamander. We are also arriving in St. John tomorrow night and after a few weeks of Colorado winter weather are not fazed by the possibility of some rain with temps in the 70's and 80's.

Last February we were in Costa Rica and never even saw a cloud let alone rain. The highs were in the 90's every day and we were lusting for a break from the relentless sun but never got it.

Thanks Guys!! that makes us feel a lot better..

We are from in Pittsburgh, and here, if the forecast is 50% chance of showers, its pretty much rain all day......... and thats what it said for the next 7 days for St. John...
